Client: Jura Single Malt Whisky
What we did: Experiential Design, Event Planning + Production, Collateral, Content Production
Jura wanted to bridge the gap between Scotland’s history and Brooklyn’s modern taste. “Jura Brooklyn” merged Jura’s world-class whisky with inspiration from Brooklyn’s past and present. But the brand’s cultural cachet in Scotland—folkloric names and island emblems—wasn’t going to turn any heads on this side of the Atlantic.
We got to work on getting Brooklynites interested, with an event fit for the borough: a warehouse party (heavily promoted on digital media) for New York City’s spirit aficionados and influencers. The huge success of the party and residual buzz led to organic mentions in pubs like the New York Times, The Huffington Post, and beyond. With a captivated fanbase, Jura Brooklyn sold out its first run in the NYC area, and was successfully brought to Europe.
